Crocus Open at the Triphammer Mall

After lunch, I noticed some crocus popping up around the outside of the Triphammer Mall.

Here's the view from the largest dune. We're probably close to 1 mile into the dune field at this point and walking in deep sand isn't easy.

More Joshua Trees

A dead, yet beautiful tree, on a trail that's not often used by Joshua Tree tourists.

It's easy for me to become emotionally attached to some of the trees in this park. 





Joshua Tree National Park is one of the best places for rock climbing. This guy had plenty of equipment, whereas I usually just use my hands. Then again, I could never scale that peak! 

From Beach to Desert

I tried to catch this bird feeding in the bay beside Seaport Village, but he was too fast. 




A cool looking bird near seal beach in La Jolla. We felt rushed the day before, so we came back for another look.






We pulled over to take a look at some cacti in a California State Park between San Diego and Palm Springs.
